Hola!
Well, it’s been a couple months, but I have finally gotten back home. I had a great summer! The Lincoln Home’s facebook site has a few images of what I was up to: I’m sitting next to my boss, Beth, sewing. Just to show off, I will mention this was the hottest summer on record in Springfield, and I was out there FIVE DAYS A WEEK, 9:30-4:30 in SEVEN LAYERS OF CLOTHING. It was fricking hot! But actually…it helped when I came up to see Marc and my dog because our apartment doesn’t have A/C. While he was sweating profusely, I felt okay (was hot, but not like exhausted.) It was an awesome experience as always, and I was able to write a new program for next year, should the program receive funding. Anyone who like history should visit the Lincoln Home in the summer! It’s a fun trip and there’s lots to do. Just get there early in the day, because tickets are given away fast (and they’re free.)
Art-wise I have been dead. I didn’t have any time or energy to draw or do hardly anything this summer. I did do a bit of sketching, creating some new enemies for Dark Horse, and I drew Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln for my boss as a going away present (she’s so cool, I’ve really been blessed to have awesome bosses! Seriously lucky, and I know it!) I did draw up a little sketch of what I wanted to do for my High School Reunion….I think I’ll post that in this entry, just so I don’t leave you hanging with no images!
Okay, so I plan to get back to work on the comic as soon as possible. I am re-drawing the next page, so it may take a bit of time: I hope not, though! Between painting the apartment and job hunting, things can get a bit hectic.
Anyway, hope you’re enjoying your fall everybody! Feel free to write or comment anytime! Peace!
